What if the world had no sickness, no war, no fear, cruelty, terrors of the night, divisions lines, no chains, no walls, arguments between people, no hate?
But all the world is divided into 'us' and 'them'. Into those who are on the opposite side. How many more divisions do we want to make? How do we want to see and face the world and each other?
The performance about border fences examines concrete and abstract walls between nations, communities and people. Mental walls can often be found even in the minds of individual people. In different scenes, we see the effects of these various walls on communities and on the individuals in them. The effects on me, you, us.
This performance does not offer the audience clear solutions, instead the goal is to inspire them to examine levels of segregation in history and the present day. The performance is in English, songs are in English and in Finnish and it is spiced with other languages, including Arabic and Chinese.
