Synopsis

The script was created by the method of collective work in 2018. Obolus can be a tiny gift that with which we want to help someone. After ten years, the DISK theatre ensemble has decided to start with the performance with few words and they do not play a decisive role. We get into the world of inner perceptions, fears, obsessions and anxiety. People bump into each other, look for each other's comfort or touch, sometimes they are attentive, sometimes innocent. We see a lot of poverty, but also nobility, we see some hate, but much more love. The project was financially supported the City of Trnava, the Trnava Self-Governing Region and the PwC Endowment Fund at the Pontis Foundation.

The Director

The director Blahoslav Uhlár (1951) was referred to as a rebel, an enfant terrible of the Slovak theater. He really did a lot, both inside and outside the theater. It's like he's enjoying life dancing on a knife edge like some kind of tightrope walker. This special type of Artaudian character that he is simply needs the theater to feel alive. "When I realized that all attempts to rationally grasp the essence and meaning of life failed, and yet life did not cease to exist, I understood that life itself should be observed and not tried to fit it into some logical context."
