Hanna is a beautiful, young housewife, mother of one child, loving wife of her engineer husband. Her home is a beautiful house with a garden, although it is currently under renovation. Something tough seems to be missing from this seemingly ideal life. Our performance, based on the play "Which drug suits me?" from contemporary German writer Kai Hensel examines one of the greatest symptoms of our time, addiction, from an exciting point of view.
Can someone live with their severe addiction without making their family and immediate environment suffer? Can an addict really be happy? Our German language performance operates with powerful musical impulses and visual effects, helping the understanding also for non-speakers of German. We highly recommend our performance for high school students and – if requested – a joint discussion and processing class after the show.
My interest in theater started in 2002, the same year as I started my studies in history at the University of Pécs. I first worked as an actor at the Janus University Theater, then at the Deutsche Bühne Ungarn in Szekszárd, and later as a freelancer.
Around 2008, I got aquianted with student acting and drama pedagogy thanks to the Escargo Ship Theater In Education Cooperative. In the past decade, I have taught in primary school, vocational high school, traditional high school and drama high school. In addition, I participated in the creation of theater and film projects, the target group of which was the age group of 6-18 years.
The Oberon Company, of which I am the artistic director, was created as the background for my alternative theater works, the creative goal of which has been always to create a community, to search for a non-political national identity and to strengthen social responsibility. The company is a project-based group that chooses its artists from a wide range and creates theatrical performances with completely different commitments and demands.
