As one of the programmes of the Theatre Olympics of 2023, Café de la Danse, a contemporary dance festival will introduce some of the most talented dancers of the international dance scene.
French, German, Finnish, Portuguese and Irish dancers will perform their solo and group performances during the 3-day-long event. The organiser Frenák Company’s selection of artists guarantees that the audience will have a chance to experience unique movement forms, a special use of space and place, acrobatics, spectacular view and stunts that are defining the limits of human performance.
The lovers of the genre can expect gripping performances in which every artist will present their unique style seasoned with their own national heritage. The shows on the main stage and the short etudes at different venues are followed by audience engagement programmes and workshops that help the attendants get to know the genre better. The festival offers a real treat to the visitors thanks to the improvisations and the fusion performances that will be created on the spot by the international collaborations.
The event is family-friendly: the workshops for beginners and some of the shows can be visited by children as well. The festival takes place in Kápolnásnyék, in the Halász Gedeon Centre and in the picturesque surrounding area.
