CSET Theatre Festival by FÜGE - Independently Together Public Benefit Association
In 2021, the production and umbrella organisation FÜGE and a number of partners organised the first edition of the festival. Theatre performances, discussions and workshops explored the topic of parenthood and non-parenthood without taboos. In the second edition the family and the individual's position and relationships within it becomes a broader theme in the context of society.
Works address the impact of the economic and political system, social expectations, traditions and prejudices that influence roles within the family and the system of relations to and within the family as a micro-environment. The individual's responsibility towards the environment, natural and social, will be examined as well.
In addition to the invited theatre performances, the programme will also include workshops, public discussions and opportunities for audience, participants and creators to meet. We are broadening the geographical scope of the programme: in addition to Budapest-based creators we are also involving partners from the countryside and invite international work.
